The
Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Episode Synopsis
Episode
01 - The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00
Episode one is actually the amateurish, but extremely funny
film Haruhi made for the school festival. The heroine is
Mikuru, who must defeat the evil space witch played by Nagato
and save her secret crush, played by Itsuki. Lots of scene
with Mikuru jumping around in a bunny outfit and maid
costume. Also excellent narration by Kyon as always.
Episode
02 - The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi I
On the first day of school, a beautiful girl sits behind
Kyon, her name is Suzumiya Haruhi. During introductions, she
declares she has no interest in humans but would like any aliens, time
travelers or espers to come forward to meet her. Kyon
becomes interested in this strange girl but then is dragged into
joining Haruhi's new club, the SOS Brigade, along with the shy Asahina
Mikuru and quiet Nagato Yuki.

03 - The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi II
Haruhi
uses some very
unconventional methods to expand the popularity of the SOS Brigade.
First she uses Mikuru to blackmail the computer club into
handing over their top model PC. Then Haruhi dresses herself
and Mikuru in playboy bunny outfits in order to attract attention and
hand SOS Brigade fliers in front of the school. It was not a
good day to be Mikuru.

04 - The Boredom of Suzumiya Haruhi
On
a whim, Haruhi signed everybody on in a baseball tournament. Because
the SOS Brigade didn't have enough players, Tsuruya
and even Kyon's
little sister are put on the team roster. Not surprisingly, Haruhi's
ragtag team quickly begin to lose. Fearing what may be
unleashed if Suzumiya Haruhi becomes unhappy, Kyon asks Nagato to use
her powers to tip the game in their favor. Nagato over does it a bit.

05
- The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi III
Itsuki Koizumi
is a transfer student who is Suzumiya Haruhi's newest recruit into the
SOS Brigade. Haruhi decides the club members should spend the weekend
on an outing in the city to search for supernatural activities and
anything mysterious. They split into two groups, but much to Haruhi's
disdain, Kyon gets paired with Mikuru. The usually shy Mikuru
takes the opportunity to explain to Kyon that she is an actual time
traveler from the future. Nagato has revealed to him that
she was in fact an alien being the previous night, so Kyon was not
completely shocked. As if that wasn't enough, the next day
Koizumi tells Kyon he is an esper. All of them claim there is
a lot more to Suzumiya Haruhi than meets the eye.
